Gemmato Gold Foil, 26mm Ovals

Gemmato, Gold Foil, Venetian Glass oval beads, approximately 26-28mm long x 14mm wide. These beads are called "Gemmato" beads because the small pieces of multicolored Murano glass, referred to as "frit", resembles gemstones; some people refer to these beads as "Klimt" style beads.

Each lampworked bead is handmade, one-by-one under the flame. The glass artisan starts with a base of crystal clear Murano glass, than a heavy layering of 24 Karat Gold foil, next the bead is rolled in the multicolored glass frit.

All this glassmaking results in a beautiful bead for your designs.
